Plant for the Planet 2023

Fundraising for non-profit organizations on the Sunshine Coast in BC

March 25th at IGA Gibsons March 31st at IGA Madeira Park

As part of Cody and Megan’s Plant, Paddle and Pulverise for the Planet challenge, they collected donations at Gibsons and Madeira park this spring.

Cody and Megan, with the help of grade 6 and 7 students on the Sunshine Coast, 1000 seedlings were planted in an area behind the airport in Sechelt in early April.

100% of the funds raised will go towards solar panels for the Loon Foundation in Madeira Park. This is part two of their three-part fundraiser

Phase one was a smashing success, when we pulverised pumpkins after Halloween at the xwesam / Roberts Creek Fire Hall, raising just over $700 dollars.

Details on phase three will come out in May but we can tell you this includes kayaking various locations along the Sunshine Coast on May long weekend. Keep your eyes peeled!

Can’t make it out but wish to donate?  Donate here to make a tax-deductible donation.

Meet Our Causes

This is our 3rd year of fundraising for non-profit organizations on the Sunshine Coast.  Through grants and generous donations by you (our supporters), we have managed to raise around $80,000.00 to support local and BC-wide organizations.

This year we are supporting the Loon Foundation in Madeira Park.  The funds will be used for solar panels to help decrease their operating costs and so they can be “greener” on the Sunshine Coast.  Thanks again for all your support!

Raising $20,000 to install solar panels for the Loon Foundation to help decrease their operating costs and so they can be “greener” on the Sunshine Coast.
