Fall Fair for Food Security

Fall Fair & 24Hr Walkathon
Saturday, Oct 19, 2024

This year, Cody & Megan are tackling the critical issue of local food security and championing projects that foster a healthy, sustainable food system in our community. True to their spirit, they believe in earning their support, which is why they’re embarking on a 24-hour walk— a staggering 100,000 steps!— and hosting a mini fall fair on Saturday, October 19th. They’re thrilled to partner with One Straw and are eagerly looking forward to a fun-filled day with a bake-off, market, and pumpkin carving contest at the Seaside Center.

Cody Kelso

Hi Everyone!

Cody and I are back at it again. In 2021 when we started the Climb for Climate Change challenge, we walked 115 kilometers from Gibsons to Powell River and managed to raise over $30,000 total for the SPCA (Sechelt Branch) and the BC Sustainable Energy Association.

Since then we keep coming up with physical challenges to inspire and bring awareness to environmental causes in our community on the Sunshine Coast. Check out our past activities and don’t forget to donate to our latest cause.

Meet Our Causes

This is our 3rd year of fundraising for non-profit organizations on the Sunshine Coast.  Through grants and generous donations by you (our supporters), we have managed to raise around $80,000.00 to support local and BC-wide organizations.

This year we are supporting the Loon Foundation in Madeira Park.  The funds will be used for solar panels to help decrease their operating costs and so they can be “greener” on the Sunshine Coast.  Thanks again for all your support!
